Sri Chayadevi College of Education is a recognised college offering teacher education at Mysuru in the state of Karnataka. This affiliated college was inaugurated in 1993 and has been producing quality educator for almost three decades now. The college is recognised by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) located in Pensioner’s Block of Rajendranagar , Mysore providing ideal surrounding for building up new generation.In terms of location, Sri Chayadevi College of Education is small and highly organised occupying only 1 acre making it perfect for learning environment for the students. Sri Chayadevi College of Education has 152 students in total and a faculty of 13 members which enables providing education with a perfect student teacher ratio. 

The institution provides a coeducation system and opens its gates to students of both sexes for the purpose of becoming educators. Sri Chayadevi College of Education boasts of well equipped facilities that enhance learning. The college library is well stocked with more than six thousand books which include course books, reference books, general knowledge books, fiction and magazine and journals. Audio visual facility is also available in the library apart from biographies in and English of world famous personalities to make lot of resource for the aspiring teachers. 

The fact that the college lays a lot of emphasis on practical learning is well illustrated by its well stocked laboratories. Students make use of an Information and Communication Technology lab which is very popular in today’s world and a psychology lab for the study of the heart and mind of people. There are several science laboratories among them Physics, Chemistry, and Biology laboratories that afford practical experience vital to students aspiring to be teachers in the field of science. Also an important factor of teaching, a language laboratory helps students improve their language skills. Though, Sri Chayadevi College of Education has only one course it offers at the current time which is a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course which is a full time course and lasting for a total of two academic years. 

The eligibility criteria for admission to Sri Chayadevi College of Education has the following criteria: merit based on the result of the qualifying test and or entrance test. Those enrolment policies are in line with the admission control measures stipulated by the state government, the Union Territory administration, and the affiliated collegiate university.
