Sri Krishna Polytechnic College, that was established at Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu, is an affiliated college to offer quality technical education. Located in R.Gobinathampatty Post and Harur Taluk, the polytechnic college offers its students different types of diploma courses which prepare students to have practical knowledge. It is affiliated with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to achieve national standard style of studying. Sri Krishna Polytechnic College has 52 faculty members and an student faculty ratio of 12:01 which helps the students and faculty members share knowledge and develop their potentials.

There are six full time diploma courses offered in Sri Krishna Polytechnic College, to cover engineering specialsations. They include Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics engineering, Electronics and Communications engineering, Computer Engineering, Fashion Technology. The vast majority of courses take three years to complete, however, the Diploma in Fashion Technology takes two years to complete. Total approved intake of the college is 480 students in all course offered, mechanical engineering is the larger intake offering one hundred and eighty seats while the other courses offer sixty each. All curriculum is, therefore, developed in a way that offers students both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in their respective fields.

Admission process for Sri Krishna Polytechnic College is kept simple for thr aspiring students. In general, many of the polytechnic colleges in Tamil Nadu admit students based on their score achieved in their 10th standard or any other equivalent examination.
