Sri Manickam College of Education is a teacher educational institution which is situated in Pudukkottai district, Tamil Nadu. Founded in 2008, this college for boys and girls is dedicated to molding future educators for more than 10 years. Having a small area of 5.44 acres of land, the college provides an intense learning atmosphere to the students who want to be teachers. Sri Manickam College of Education provides only a single programme which is Bachelor of Education or B.Ed. This is a two year full course whose primary aim is to train students to take up teaching careers. The college has provision for 100 dually qualified teacher trainees for this programme in accordance with its selective nature. 

Sri Manickam College of Education follows Admission policies prescribed by State Government, Union Territory Administration and the affiliated university, it admits students on the merit basis. The prospective students are then assessed by the performance they posted in the qualifying exam which could be their bachelor’s degree. Sometime, they may also include entrance examination and other tests before admission. This all-round approach allows the college to admit students with the capacity to excel in the area of specialisation.
