Sri Muppudathi Amman College of Education, situated at Adaikalapattanam, District – Tamil Nadu is a well known college among the colleges of teacher education. This is a co-educational college with special focus on preparing future educators, founded in 2007. Totaling 5 acres of territory, the college provides an optimal setting to nurture the college’s students and faculties. It is affiliated to the Concept University which put it through set educational standards to be followed by College. The college has, however, received accreditation from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) in recognition of the college’s professional advancement of offering quality teacher training programmes.

Sri Muppudathi Amman College of Education has drawn a fleet of modern amenities, which aims to make the learning and teaching process even more productive. At the core of these is a computerised library, which contains over five thousand five hundred books, journals and magazines and over fifty CDs. This resource centre is especially a wealth of information important to students, staff, and researchers. It has wider classroom that are airy to ensure that learners are able to learn in an efficient manner in the explosive College campus. In order to cope with modern IT tendencies, the college offers high quality IT complex, Wi-Fi, multimedia classrooms, including LCD projectors, and other learning facilities. In support of the all-round development of the students there are sports fields, a sports hall, a gymnasium and a hall for cultural and academic performances.

That is why Sri Muppudathi Amman College of Education provides only one programme at the present – B.Ed (Bachelor of Education). The B.Ed programme aims at preparing would be teachers with the relevant knowledge, skills and practical experience that will enable them when Posted to teach effectively. 

Sri Muppudathi Amman College of Education follows certain rules in offering admissions for various courses and these are based on merits following the policies of state government, Union Territory and the University to which the college is affiliated.
