Sri Padmavathi Women’s Polytechnic, established in the year 1976, is built in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. Located in Tirupati, this was the women’s polytechnic college Nerella near S.V. Dairy Farm covering a land area of 8.00 acres of land. The institute is a part of the state board and has the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) so there is maximum quality output. The college admits a total of 356 students and provides a facility of 16 faculties and hence, is capable to maintain a good student-teacher ratio. There several facilities of the modern type within the institute to foster its academic activities.

Sri Padmavathi Women’s Polytechnic provides 4 full time diploma courses of three years each. It offers its students various courses in engineering and commerce which prepare them to fit different carrier tracks. The total number of students enroled on all courses is 145 with the institute continuing to register new students on various courses. The courses are Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Commercial and Computer Practise, Computer Engineering, and so on.  

Admission of students in Sri Padmavathi Women’s Polytechnic college is done systematically and fairly. Candidates who wish to appear in the Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (AP POLYCET) have to apply online. This particular exam is the gateway to all diploma courses taught in the institute.
