Sri Ramana polytechnic college was started in the year of 2009, where it is an affiliated college situated at Moolakarapatti, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. This polytechnic college is approved by AICTE and is located in a total area of 5.76 acres of land; the college provides diploma courses in various fields of engineering. An additional feature of the college is that it admits 290 students in total while it has 34 faculty members. Sri Ramana Polytechnic College offers five full-time diploma courses, catering to various engineering specializations, and maintains a 1:9 faculty-student ratio, this showed that every student would be well attended to by the faculty.
