Sri Sathya Sai College for Women, Bhopal, was started in 1974, is an affiliated college and is located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The institute is NAAC accredited, BCI and NCTE approved university. The university is gated, spanning 21 acres and hosts 53 courses leading to 12 degrees; a student enrolment of 1,095. The college has a strength of 63 teachers and faculty members in its academic team. It offers a wealth of programmes with specialisation in Arts, Commerce, Science, Law and B.Ed exclusively for the girls. It particularly has focused on delivering women education and their all round personality development.

It provides students with opportunities by providing a broad range of facilities necessary for students’ learning process. The campus owns well stocked library with more then 30,506 books and access to 52 periodicals including all academic courses and competitive exam preparations. Modern computer centre is a facility where crucial IT services like, browsing internet facility and printing amenities are available. The college also has 15 state of the art laboratory that are used in practicals in courses such as botany, microbiology, chemistry, and computer among others. As for physical fitness, an equipped gym with the latest equipment needed for effective training is provided. There is a canteen, auditorium, and separate hostels for girls to provide decent accommodation for out station students.

The institute offers fifty three programmes in Arts, Commerce, Science, law and Education etc. These include both full time and self financed courses. The student enrolment strength in college for all courses is 1,095. Some of the general courses for which admission is sought include Bachelors in Commerce (B.Com), Science, Computers, Law, Education and several others as well as various Masters and other courses in Science and Arts streams. The courses are BCA, B.Com Computer Applications, B.Ed, LLB, and so on.

The admission policy of Sri Sathya Sai College for Women differs according to courses offered in the college. Admissions to most of the undergraduate courses depends on the merit of the student in the qualifying examination. However, in professional programmes like B.Ed admission is through the test conducted by the Professional Examination Board, Bhopal. The admission policy of the college is followed from the government norms and only women’ students are allowed to join the college. There are many admission tests for the courses offered by the institute at the national and state level, which are accepted.
