Sri Siddhartha College of Education is one of the premier teacher education institution situated in Tumkur district of Karnataka state and was established in the year 1972. This affiliated college, recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education, offers excellent education facilities in its solo 8 acre campus. The college offers an opportunity of 99 student intake with a faculty of 8 hence improving the education needed for any aspiring teacher. There is an opportunity for students to study at the institute and take a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course for development of skilled and competent potential teachers.

Sri Siddhartha College of Education has a variety of amenities that improve students’ learning and over all development. The library offers 11, 650 volumes out of which it subscribes to 40 educational journals and this is one area the hospital has not skimped on learning.. The college has a health centre with first aid facilities to make sure student’s health is well taken care of. For a balanced growth, the campus provides for enclosed and open sports amenities. The physical facilities are good for information technology which maintains contemporary teaching-learning approaches. Other facilities include cafeteria, a hall for gatherings, conferences and seminars, laboratories with all essentials, and a quarters for the guest faculty & family.

This college offers one undergraduate course at present and this is a full-time course namely the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). This is a two-year programme and an approved intake of 50 which will create a small learning community where students and faculty interact closely. There are several advantages of such an approach: the college is devoted to the sole programme to improve effective teacher education.

The admission process of Sri Siddhartha College of Education is as per the directions of Common Admission Cell, Government of Karnataka. For the current and the next academic year separate exam dates are not mentioned however, to monitor important dates, the students are suggested to follow the Common Admission Cell. The Training and Placement Cell of the college involves in career development opportunities and conducts placement, fairs, talks and guidance programmes. It organises on-campus interviews with different educational institutions of state, national, and international syllabus and thus has better employment placements for its graduates.
