Sri Taralabalu Jagadguru D.Ed. College is a known teacher education College at Hirekerur in the state of Karnataka. As one of the affiliated colleges founded in 2004, this college aims at developing educators for the future education for nearly two decades. Located at Shantidham, behind APMC Yard, the college occupies a small plot of area of 2 acres, giving a home of a small academic and industrial oriented college.

Sri Taralabalu Jagadguru D.Ed. College boasts highly developed learning facilities to provide adequate learning environment to young teacher trainees. It owns a well stocked library comprising of 3,772 books whereas 735 are reference books which also undertakes 15 educational journals and periodicals. The reading room is in the form of a classroom; that is, it has table and chair furniture, and it can hold 50 to 60 students. As for practical learning the college has provided the departmental Labs where the students are having practical knowledge related to their field. The campus also has an intended and fully equipped auditorium to house event and seminars for the academic community.

The Sri Taralabalu Jagadguru D.Ed College provides a full time D.Ed Course for two years in Karnataka with an intake of 50 students for each batch. This programme is therefore intended to prepare students with what they will require to become successful teachers. The college currently has 151 students showing that there is a market for education needs of the college. 

The procedure of getting admission to Sri Taralabalu Jagadguru D.Ed. College is easy going and prospective students need to follow the norms of Centralised Admission Cell – Bangalore. The CAC determines the admission of the students to government quota seats through direct admission to the institutions. Management quota admissions also follow same rules and regulation prescribed by the CAC for admission process that are transparent and fair.
