About Sri Venkateshwara Dental College and Hospital, Bannerghatta

Sri Venkateshwara Dental College and Hospital started in 1993, and it is a reputed dental college in Bannerghatta, Bangalore, Karnataka. This affiliated college, recognised by the Dental Council of India (DCI), has dedicated over three decades to the development of dental education. The college occupies a spacious area of 12 acres of land and thus can provide appropriate conditions for education and personal development. The total number of students at the institute is 214, and there are a total of 66 members of faculty, so it is possible to provide attention to the needs of each learner and get a quality education.

Sri Venkateshwara Dental College and Hospital stands equipped with a list of up-to-date facilities to facilitate the learning of the students. The modern classrooms are well fitted with LCD projectors to enable the instructors to make effective and interesting presentations. The labs themselves are well equipped; educators understand that theory cannot prepare the students adequately for the clinic—practice makes perfect, especially in the profession of dentistry. 

The college has more than 2500 books for different medical and dental courses, having a seating capacity of 100 students for group study in the library. Regarding social recreation, the institute provides sports grounds and also conducts cultural activities to ensure the development of the total man. Security is paramount to which end the college provides CCTV cameras in hostel sections, college compounds, and canteen sections.

As of now, Sri Venkateshwara Dental College and Hospital offers only one full-time course out of which is the Bachelor of Dental Surgery, popularly known as BDS. This five-year course has an approved intake of 40 students per academic year. The BDS programme is aimed at developing the necessary set of competencies in dental sciences to ensure that it successfully places the student in certain dental fields.

Prospective students need to have a NEET valid ranking to be admitted into the institution.
