Sri Venkateswara Ayurvedic College is one of the premier institutes and was established in 1983 at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. This college, affiliated with Sri Venkateswara University and Central Council for Indian Medicine, offers a wide range of Ayurvedic courses. Situated on a compact 2.5 acre campus, this college has a total student enrolment of 282 and a faculty strength of 32. It is a co-educational college and gives equal opportunity to both male and female students. The college conducts 8 courses spanning 4 degree programmes in Ayurvedic medicine, designed to serve undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The college is dedicated to a favourable learning environment for its students.

Sri Venkateswara Ayurvedic College provides a number of facilities to support educational and personal development. The library is a knowledge reservoir that contains volumes of Ayurvedic texts and research materials. Well-equipped departmental laboratories are available for practical learning.  Sri Venkateswara Ayurvedic College offers a wide range of courses so as to deal with different areas of interests under the science of Ayurvedic medicine. The college has 8 regular full courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.The flagship undergraduate programme is the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS Ayurvedacharya), admitted 40 students per year. At postgraduate level, several specialised MD and MS programmes are carried out with an intake of 6 students each. These include MS Panchakarma, MS Shalya Tantra, MD Dravyaguna, MD Rasa Shastra, MD Kaumara Brithya and MD Ayurveda Samhita. For research-oriented students, the college has a Ph.D. programme in Ayurveda Varidhi. 

The admission procedure in Sri Venkateswara Ayurvedic College is strict and filter out the perfect candidate for the course. Admission in BAMS programme is held strictly on merit, based on scores in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). This way, students entering the Ayurvedic course have a proper foundation of the basic sciences. The MS Panchakarma, MS Shalya Tantra, MD Dravyaguna, etc. constitute the postgraduate programmes which have admissions strictly held according to merit basis of All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET). This standardised test tests the candidate's knowledge about Ayurveda principles and their fitness for higher studies. In addition, this college also accepts students through Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) for some courses, which is a second route of entry for local students to this college.
