One of the main institutions, shaping the future of education, SRSV College of Education, Vijayawada was started in the year 2007. This is a co-educational college offering specialised programmes in teacher training and is located in the heart of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The institute sprawls over 2.5 acres of land in a compact campus and is an affiliated college approved by the National Council for Teacher Education. 

SRSV College has a proud claim to impart quality education with a very favourable student-faculty ratio of 99 students against 15 experienced faculty members. Presently, the institution runs two degree courses that aim at providing a strong foundation in laying down the career path of the aspiring teachers. The SRSV College of Education has many modern facilities that look towards enhancing the learning environment for students. The library, constructed with a vast collection of textbooks, reference materials, journals, and periodicals, is the principal feature of the institutional setup in this college. The institution has excellent IT infrastructure, and the computer lab is well updated with 26 new systems powered by i-3 processors. Departmental laboratories within the college are also well-maintained and periodically upgraded and continuously developed in keeping with the changing requirements. Sports facilities are also available to emphasise a balance in their approach to education for their physical well-being. The campus also houses an auditorium for events and a health centre with first-aid facilities to ensure the safety and comfort of students. 

SRSV College of Education runs a compact curriculum with two regular courses specially designed for the aspiring teacher fraternity. The Bachelor of Education course is a two-year programme with an approved intake of 100 seats, while the Diploma in Education is a two-year course with 50 seats. These programmes have the aim of offering complete training in educational theory and practice so that students are prepared and proceed to have very successful teaching careers. The total student intake of the college stands at 99, a capacity that enables optimum learning by ensuring that classes never get too large to allow for one-to-one attention. Both programmes are therefore designed to ensure the development of knowledge, skills, and practice to enable students to be successfully positioned within the educational sector. 

The Admission procedure in SRSV College of Education shall always be based on merit and transparency. The admission to the B.Ed course shall be based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college shall also consider any other selection process as per the policies prescribed by the state government of Andhra Pradesh and the affiliated university. In the D.Ed. course, also, admission will be made entirely on the basis of merit, which shall be determined with reference to the candidate's performance at the qualifying examination and/or entrance test conducted by the concerned university or institutions/authorities in accordance with the policy prescribed by the state government or UT administration.
