SSMRV Degree College is an esteemed college which was started in 1984 which is situated in Jayanagar, Bangalore. This affiliated college recognized by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is equipped with a wide variety of under graduate as well as post graduate courses. Located in a 2.67 acre campus, SSMRV Degree College has a total strength of 2,110 students which includes 54% of male students and 46% female students. It has a spread of 6 courses in 4 degrees where concentration is made on Commerce, Management and Computer Applications. It has a student–faculty ratio of 7:1 and employs 49 full and part time faculties to teach its students effectively.

Its commendable infrastructure set with accessories that will improve students’ learning ability is something the college boasts of. As a primary source of academic material, the library possesses, 28,350 books, magazines, journals and periodicals. Besides it has provision for e-journals and is a fully computerized library with the memberships in INFLIBNET, DELNET, IIMB & NIPM. 

On the IT front, there is a lot to write home about; there is a two computer-saturated computer laboratories, with 55 computers and free internet usage. To facilitate more practical learning in commerce and management, a Business lab with 40 N-Computing Devices is in use. The college also has an A/C equipped auditorium, with a seating capacity of 250 and is well suited for seminars, conferences and workshops.

Degree College SSMRV provides a list of courses to fulfill the requirement of different fields. It offers seven full-time courses, these being undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The courses offered at the undergraduate level are: B.Com, BBA, BCA, BBA Aviation Management, B.Com Professional, and BCA ETDCA. To cater for the needs of the more adventurous students the college provides an M.Com programme. The total student enrollment is 1,690 which the college has maintained optimal enrollment that will enhance learning. Total enrollment in this college was 2,110 in all programs in the most recent academic year.
