St Johns College of Engineering and Technology, Kurnool: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

St. John's College of Engineering and Technology was started in the year 2001 at Yerrakota, Yemmiganur, Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the major affiliated engineering institutions offering several UG and PG courses in various streams of engineering approved by All India Council for Technical Education. SJCET is spread out on a sprawling 27-acre campus, hosting a total of 1,121 students and has 116 faculty members.

SJCET intends to provide integrated learning experiences among the students and multi-dimensional facilities that help in academic and personal growth. Having all the modern laboratories situated on this campus, the needs of the students regarding practical training are well met. It also comprises a pretty large and well-stocked library with ample resources, state-of-the-art facilities regarding Information Technology, sports facilities, and a gymnasium for taking care of students' physical well-being. It is also providing comfortable accommodation to boys and girls by making separate hostels available for them. A cafeteria to cater to the diet needs of the campus community; an auditorium for various events and seminars. The college lays much emphasis on student welfare with its health centre that provides first-aid facilities to a transport facility to make commutation easy for staff and students alike.

The academic portfolio happens to be diverse, industry-driven, and encompasses a total of 17 full-time courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels at SJCET. The institute offers all major fields of Engineering at the B.Tech level, including Electronics and Communication, Civil engineering, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science. As far as postgraduate courses are concerned, the institute has specialized streams in M.Tech VLSI System Design, Power Electronics, Software Engineering, and CAD CAM. Besides this, an MBA course is provided for those students aiming to be management professionals. 

Admissions to SJCET are done mostly on a merit basis. The college accepts a number of state-level entrance scores. In the undergraduate level for engineering courses, the prime entrance through which admission is provided by the institute is AP EAMCET. It is also through the AP PGECET that postgraduate seekers may apply and for MBA through the APICET.
