St. Paul’s College of Education Bangalore was set up in the year 2004 the college has carved a niche for it in the field of shaping the future of the educational system. This is a co-educational college based in the lively city of Bengaluru and accredited by the local university as well as license by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The campus area is 0.52 acres and allows offering facilities of close contact with students as there are 79students in the school. Currently it boasts of a faculty strength of 9, making it possible for the college to provide individual attention and quality education to the students. St. Paul’s offer two specialised degree programme in education, which is a clear show of its niche based approach to producing teachers. It is also accredited to NAAC and the college which boasts of high standard education all over the country.

St. Paul’s College of Education has diversified facilities that are deemed to facilitate student learning in the college. A well stocked library forms the core of academic facilities which provides a spacious library with reprographic services/Internet enabled computers. The campus has boys’ hostels and girls’ hostels for outstation students as well as all offer comfortable accommodation. Major educational facilities of the college include psychology, physics, biology and chemistry practical rooms for lab experience. Computer and educational technology laboratory contain technologically with computers, LCD projectors and digital video cameras to help the students prepare them to go with hi-tech teaching faculties. A well furnished auditorium and a seminar hall with a capacity of accommodating 200 students is available to conduct workshops/seminars/academic activities etc,.

St. Paul's College of Education offers two full-time courses: For the Post Graduate course : Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Master of Education (M.Ed) both are two year courses. M.Ed programme has the approved strength of 50 for admission and the B.Ed programme’s strength is not declared. These programmes are intended for learners who have dreamt of becoming teachers at some point in their lifetimes and they are offered as programmes that can be taken at different grade levels of education to ensure that the learners get the noble skills and knowledge, this programme offers a blend between the theoretical knowledge and the teaching skills. Two major goals of this approach focus on the delivery of the two core programmes to benefit from a specialised and intensified preparation to produce quality teachers.

Admission into St. Paul’s College of Education is based on marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. For the B.Ed programme, candidates are admitted in accordance with the policy laid down by the State Government, UT Administration and University. The M.Ed programme also follows the same procedure regarding admission with merit basis followed to the rules and regulations of state government, university or UT administration. Applicants should point out that they are allowed to take different examinations which are not named further. The college does not have information regarding scholarships it offers however the college has an active Alumni Association which plays a very important role in the enhancement of the college’s performance. The association has its room in the campus, fixed meetings and annual gatherings; all in all, the association unites many representatives of the sphere of education.

The college has total of 100 seats and offers B.ed as a full time 2 years course.

The total course fee for the same is around 20,35K.

The admission generally starts after declaration of twelfth results, tentatively in the month of july. Though it may vary this year.

The admission to the course is done on the basis of a Common entrance exam (CET).
