St. Thomas College of Arts and Science (STCAS), Chennai, is also recognised for providing quality education to its students from the academic year 1999 – 2000. This is a co-educational, affiliated college offers numerous undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in many fields of study. Located on a rather small 3.883 acre site, the college has expanded to welcome a large number of learners of 5,195, of which 97 percent are undergraduates and 3 percent postgraduate learners. The institution employs faculty of 169 members which allows for a better student teacher ratio in terms of quality education.

STCAS offers a range of learning amenities to facilitate the education process of the learners enroled with the college. The AV aided library is a centre of learning resources including books and digital copies for teaching aid, borrowing and reference. Organisation’s focus on technology is well exhibited by efficient IT systems in learning to improve teachings that meets the modern world and puts the students in the right track to meet IT world demands. For skill practicals, the college has several computer laboratories, drawing laboratory, photo and video laboratory, audio laboratory, editing laboratory and multimedia laboratory. These are useful to the multiplicity of learning requirements for different courses and also as practical learning centres for students.

St. Thomas College of Arts and Science has a diverse and broad range of course offering that cuts across 7 degree programmes and 24 courses. The academic disciplines for this course are Arts, Commerce, Management, Computer Applications, Sciences, and Media Studies. The college also offers both full-time undergraduate and postgraduate programmes where about 3,471 students compete for. The courses are B.Com in Bank Management, Accounting and Finance, BA English, M.Com, BBA, M.Sc Electronics Media, BCA, and so on.
