St. Xavier College, Jalukie, affiliated with the Kalpollo University was started in the year 2005 in Peren, Nagaland. It is located in a spacious 40 acre area so as to make sure that the environment is conducive for learning. At present, St. Xavier College provides its students with intimate learning environment enroling 328 students and being staffed with 17 members of faculty. The campus also has smart classes, laboratories that include personal growth lab and the campus has a canteen as well.
The learning programmes at St. Xavier College mainly limit themselves to the Arts stream, with undergraduate courses being the major input. The college provides following six full time courses, all at the Bachelor of Arts (BA) level. These include BA (General), BA English Honours, BA History Honours, BA Political Science Honours, BA Sociology Honours and BA Education Honours. The total number of students who are offered the courses is 328, whereas special courses admit 40 students each as approved. Many of these courses include a broad spectrum of interests and it enables the students to study several area of humanities and social sciences.
