Summer Field College of Higher Education, affiliated to the Higher Education system, was established in the year 2007. The Institution, located at Modinagar, Uttar Pradesh State, caters to the co-educational students distributed over a campus space of 2 acres in teacher training. The institution was approved by the National Council for Teacher Education, which provides the services of a Bachelor of Education degree in the area of education offered to the aspirant lecturers. With a total enrolment of 148 students and faculty strength of 16, Summer Field College affords fair student-teacher ratio and therefore provides a friendly learning environment.

Facilities offered for improvement in the overall educational endeavour include a well-equipped library containing resources deemed fundamental for scholarly work. The campus is equipped with modern labs that facilitate hands-on learning. Sport and recreation facilities and a well-equipped gym are provided in the college for physical fitness. The auditorium is used as a platform for all events and seminars that support extracurricular activities. Besides this, the Summer Field College of Higher Education pays importance to the health of the students by having a health centre that provides first-aid facilities. 

Currently, Summer Field College of Higher Education offers only one full-time course that is B.Ed. This is a two-year course that aims to prepare students to take up their future career in teaching, where students learn the skills and knowledge required to take up such work. College Intake of 100 students who are admitted has been approved for this course, ensuring quality education but with a considerable amount of aspiring lecturers.

The merits are calculated by the marks scored in the qualifying examination and entrance examination. The institution follows an admission policy that is framed by the state government and also the affiliated university.
