Suraj Singh Memorial College, Etah: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Being an affiliated college, Suraj Singh Memorial College, Etah, was established in the year 2004 which is in Awagarh, Etah, Uttar Pradesh. This mixed school, located in a total land area of 2.602 of acres, is devoted to offering quality education to train teachers. Affiliated with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college provides B.Ed with total intake capacity of 100 students. The college has a faculty of 8 and at present, the college has a total of 206 students in its roll, therefore, the student teacher ratio is healthy. 

Amidst these, Suraj Singh Memorial College has developed several forms of facility that can help in the further improvement of learning facilities and the acquisition of the general development of a student. The library is also a knowledge centre which plays an important role of making information on educational resources easily accessible to students. In this college, practical learning is also provided in the departmental based laboratories where students can exercise their practical knowledge. Sports activities can be made through facilities such as the gym and provision of appropriate sports wears. It is also provided with a cafeteria where students can relax if you are not in a class. Policies regarding health and safety are upheld with the first aid facility located in the on-campus health facility. In order to improve the learning culture in the institution, the college has an event and seminar theatre and well equipped modern class rooms with relevant items on information technology. To cater to the need of visiting faculties, students’ parents/guardians, the college hostel facility and waiting halls for guests have been arranged. 

Suraj Singh Memorial College has one full-time programme being B.Ed course . This two years course is specialised for those students who aspire to become successful teachers in educational institutions fixing a concrete Maid. Thus, the approved intake of the programme is one hundred (100) seats which are also in compliance with the college’s policy to keep a high quality of teaching and learning despite the admission of a large number of students who wish to become teachers.

Regarding the admission criteria of the B.Ed programe of Suraj Singh Memorial College is that the admission is granted on the basis of merit, which include the marks achieved in the qualifying exam or any competitive exam. The college has admission policy of the state government of Uttar Pradesh and the university affiliated to it. Being more affiliated to the provision of quality education, modern facilities and environment, the college intends to produce well equipped educators of the new generation.
