Swami Dharm Bandhu College of Education was established in the year 2015 is a part of Arya Vidya Mandir, Hazaribag is a co-education teacher training college in Hazaribagh. This affiliated college is situated in Hazaribag district of Jharkhand and is run as per norms of NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education). Most of the campus stretches 1 acre of land and this make it ideal for learning and development. The college admits a total of 191 students while the faculty size totals 21 hence confirming student teacher ratio that forward high-quality education delivery.

The college has got facilities that aim at improving the learning capability of students in the institution. A stocked library acts as an information center and the IT facility consisting of a computerized laboratory with fifteen computers, OHP and printers updates students on technological developments. Swami Dharm Bandhu College of Education has two full time courses in the filed of education only. The colleges and schools offering education include, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) courses both are of two years duration. All courses have an approved level of intake of 100 seats hence the total number of seats available in the two new courses is two hundred. These programs are meant to provide student with requisite education and knowledge to enable him or her to practice teaching profession well.

ami Dharm Bandhu College of Education gives admission according to merit acquired through plus two marks and/or entrance examination marks if any. The college in general operates under the rules and regulations concerning admission policies of the Jharkhand state government and the university to which it is affiliated with. 

In addition to the above, candidates seeking admission to B.Ed program may also have to undergo other selection tests as may be prescribed by this University from time to time. Likewise, the D.El.Ed admission is merit- based where marks secured in the qualifying examination – any recognized examination – and marks obtained in state level entrance test if any is also considered.
