Swami Vivekanand Mahavidyalaya, Jobner was established in year 2004 and is affiliated college situated at Jobner, Rajasthan. With the land area of only 2.91 acres, this institution has been providing education services for the population within the area for nearly two decades. Currently the college has 506 total enrolment of the students it has in its system and it is manned by 13 hardworking faculty members. In its present configuration, Swami Vivekanand Mahavidyalaya awards two major under graduate degrees to its students and meets the need of the region for a dynamic course that will assert the students’ ambitions in the chosen subject.

Swami Vivekanand Mahavidyalaya envisages to give all its students a favourable environment to learn. It has a functional library that contains books that are essential for learning and all other individual development processes. To support these practical based programmes, the institution incorporates laboratories designed for Computer Science, Chemistry and Physics, Botany and Zoology, Geography and Geology respectively. These facilities make it possible for students to acquire real life information and skills as per the part they are in. Besides that, the college provides great IT equipment so each learner utilises the modern technologies, moreover they can achieve basic skills required in the current society.

Swami Vivekanand Mahavidyalaya, Jobner offers two full-time undergraduate programmes: BA and B.Sc. The programmes are three years in duration and give the students a sound knowledge of the chosen specialities. The college can take a total of 506 students each year in the two courses, and the number of students in each section can be effectively controlled, while paying due attention to students’ individual difference and learning needs. It remains unclear whether and to what extent these programmes may focus on specific subjects, but they most probably offer a broad choice of arts and sciences disciplines for students to provide them with prepare for different types of activities after graduation or to continue education.

It is established that the admission policy of Swami Vivekanand Mahavidyalaya, Jobner, shall be simple and easy to follow. In addition, the college also realises that health and physical fitness is an important part of the college experience as is the cultivation of specific sports. The college has playground facilities across acres of land and also houses a modern Sports Complex. Extra curricula activities include games and sports whereby students practice in different games such as cricket, table tennis, lawn tennis and basket ball. All these events are coordinated under watchful eye of Director of Physical Education and therefore the events are one way of being Mark Twain’s quote that “I have never let my schooling interfere with my education.”

Swami Vivekanand Mahavidyalaya at Jobner offers an array of amenities and specialised scholastic streams for students in and around Jobner to afford proper education. Although, it is a quite young university, it seems to prefer to provide students with the comfortable studying process and the possibility to develop the abilities necessary for further succeeding.
