Swami Vivekanand Vidyaprasarak Mandal’s College of Commerce Ponda, was established in 2013 and is one of the new generation Colleges exclusively devoted to Commerce in Goa. Situated in Borim Ponda this college lies in a very limited campus area of 0.74 acres. Currently the institute has only two undergraduate courses in commerce stream it has a total of 168 students strength out of which 12 are faculties. It is not possible to get specific accreditations and ranking of the colleges but it aims to impart quality education in the field of commerce for fulfilling the educational requirement of the area.

It maintains a variety of facilities that are intended to improve the learning experience of the college’s students. Swami Vivekanand Vidyaprasarak Mandal’s College of Commerce library which is, in essence, the biggest within the said amenities boasts more than 4200 books, in addition to the 19 journals and magazines. Apart from being an information repository, the library provides student workshops, seminars, career guidance sessions to ensure continuous learning. This college also annexes an auditorium for various functions and seminars, which facilitate scholastic as well as co-curricular activities. For learning and playing, the necessary sport facilities are also provided for students who seek for the combination between learning and exercise. The college also values technological growth, providing splendid IT facilities and giving free access to the internet throughout the campus to learners and other members of the institution’s staff. The classrooms include ergonomic individual seating with laptop writing pads, adequate ventilation, and modern equipment; inclusive of LCD projectors with screen and sound. For snacking and small meetings, our campus features a canteen where all employees and learners can grab something to eat.

In terms of academic offerings, Swami Vivekanand Vidyaprasarak Mandal's College of Commerce, Ponda, currently provides two full-time undergraduate courses: B.Com and B.Com (Hons). The two programmes take three years to complete, a system adopted by the college in order to offer balanced commerce education. The total number of students across these programme is 168, which is fairly small, suggesting that students get close attention from teachers and there is enough student to teacher contact. Though the information regarding the number of graduates is lacking certain information, one can clearly see that the college is highly committed to the education of commerce with adapted specialised courses for the programme.
