As you have asked i want to inform you that that might not be the case as you have understand that it might be in the mind of the interviewer that he or she wanted to notice that how you take the criticism or how you react to the racism comments and the way to tackle them. so don't overthink this it was an interview so they also check how mentally stable and unstable you are.
