The Takshshila College of Bhopal was established in 1996, intercepting the geographical heart of Madhya Pradesh. Located in a large facility on an area of 8 acres, this institution has been in the business of moulding the future generation's education for over two decades. Listed and recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college makes a specialty of teacher training with it’s B. Ed. Programme. Having a total number of 489 students enrolled and a faculty of 56 members, the college offers a pleasant learning environment possessing a good students-faculty ratio.

The college prides itself on offering various infrastructures with close association to improving the standard education delivery system. It has a well-endowed library, stocked with numerous textbooks, references, and teaching aids in authors’ different fields of specialty, computer science, physics, electronics, Mathematics education, etc. The students can read international journals, encyclopaediasand research papers in order to promote extensive reading and researching habits. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled with a 30Mbps bandwidth to satisfy the bandwidth need of the students and the faculty. Like all other aspects of the student’s life, physical health also receives special attention from Takshshila College and students are provided with options for sports activities and gym facility.

Takshshila College at present has only one primary course on offer and that is the Bachelor of Education or the B.Ed. programme. It is a two-year, full-time course approved for 50 students intake strength, which further shows a vision of the college to sustain the quality of education by providing the limited number of seats.
