Entrance Exams Accepted by Top Colleges/Universities in Tamil Nadu
For admissions in undergraduate courses, candidates must have completed their 10+2/PU/Intermediate from a recognised board. For PG admissions, the candidate must have graduated with a bachelor’s degree in relevant stream. Few colleges will include a short interview in the admission procedure. NEET - National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is held annually for admission to undergraduate courses in the field of Medical and Allied Sciences.
VITMEE: VIT Master's Entrance Examination is conducted for admission into M.Tech and MCA courses. It is an online examination that is held once a year online. The exam is a university-level exam.
JEE Main: Also known as “Joint Entrance Examination (Main),” is conducted by the National Testing Agency. This national-level exam is conducted twice a year and is the gateway for admissions to technically oriented institutions across India. The test is conducted online and has a duration of 3 hours.
JEE Advanced: The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) is conducted for admission into various courses like Engineering, Science and Architecture in top technical colleges of India like the IIT’s.
