At Tarifa Memorial Teachers Training College, there are two providing full time courses that has been intended to meet two different demand of education. About a hundred students admitted for the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme is for those who wish to be teachers of the secondary and higher secondary level. The Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed) having an intake capacity of 50 students aims to produce teachers for teaching at Primary level. Both of them are two-year programmes offering extensive theoretical and practical education in teaching methodologies. These two programmes offer take a total of 150 students in the college showing the concentration of the college in offering teachers.
In admission policies at Tarifa Memorial Teachers Training College, the admission criteria are strictly on merit and there is no prejudice at all. For admission to the B.Ed programme selection is done either on the merit in the qualifying examination /entrance test.
