College: Pettigrew College, Ukhrul Date of Establishment: 1965 Affiliated to: Manipur University, Canchipur Campus: Ukhrul, Manipur. It is an institution of learning with an underpart offering undergraduate programmes and its campus occupies an area of 26 acreage. Having a total student population of 522 students and a teaching staff of 29 members, Pettigrew College is designed to give proper attention to each one. The college offers two undergraduate degree programmes: Full time three years programmes being Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc). The student body comprises 392 male and 363 female students, reflecting a balanced gender ratio of 2:1.

The facilities available in Pettigrew College are developed to improve the quality of student lives. A campus has a well stocked library to ensure that the students have reading material in their areas of study. Science students for instance get practical lesson in teachnique in their respective departmental laboratories. There are also facilities for sports and games and a gym on account of their annual subscription fees for keeping fit. An auditorium is used for functions and seminars, and helps to contribute to a lively campus atmosphere. The institution offers appropriate living standards to student with available separate hostels for boys and girls respectively. There is separate canteen for staff and students and latest Gymkhana, library, data communication and other academic needs our institution has IT facility. The college's academic offerings are focused on two main streams: Arts and Science. The BA and B.Sc both are a full-time course where in students are able to master in their domains. That is, the total strength allowed at Pettigrew College is 522, although the numbers of seats according to the programmes offered in the present B Ed are not mentioned explicitly. This means there would be an effective spread of students in both courses to make face-to-face interactivity with the faculties possible. The college indeed focuses much on education by having a continued growth of students; 755 to be precise enroled at the UG level programmes in 2019.

As for the admission to Mayang Imphal based Pettigrew College, Ukhrul offers selected Undergraduate programmes through CUET UG. This is one of the strict criteria local students have to meet since the exam is on a national level. There is no mention of some specific dates related to the admission process, though students should observe CUET UG exam and results ventures, for sure, they will correlate with the college admission schedule. Admission policy is also developed to be more accepting and no percentage of outside state students has been aimed for the college thus making it welcoming for all. Regrettably, data regarding the scholarships or the achievements of alumni is not yet publishable. However, since the college has been established since 1965, it may lead to the educational development of Manipur and the neighboring areas.
