Tavite B.Ed. Training College was started in 2005 and the College is co-educational institution situated at Katni of Madhya Pradesh. Located on Jabalpur Road and affiliated to Barkatullah University, this college is approved from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The campus stretches upto 0.88587acres, and hence the size of the campus just and sufficient to conduct effective learning. With an annual student intake of one hundred seventy-four, and faculties of twenty-four, the college has a sound student-faculty ratio. Tavite B.Ed. Training College offers two full-time courses: Two-year full time programmes – B.Ed. and D.El.Ed.

Tavite B.Ed. Training College offers various infrastructures for the facilitation of student’s academic and other endeavours. Successful library is placed with 6870 volumes that include 1560 reference books and it has reading hall for 100 students. Facilities of the campus include facilitated modern teaching rooms, organisational teaching rooms, and departmental practical rooms. Concerning students health and fitness there is a health centre which includes first aid and fitness centre/gym. The college also focuses on the use of technology which has responsive IT services. Co-curricular activities are promoted through various other provisions of sporting facilities such as cricket, foot-ball, carom, table tennis, badminton, chess, volley-ball etc. An auditorium is used in events and seminars while enhancing the activities of the campus life.

Tavite B.Ed. Training College offers academic programmes in the area of teacher education. The two-year B.Ed. programme is for those who wishes to take up teaching profession in secondary and higher secondary while the D.El.Ed. courses are for those proposing to teach in primary and upper primary sections. Both programmes are aimed at delivering theoretical training and pedagogical teaching skill of the programme. The college is respondent to the intakes admitting 174 students hence concludes with an enrolment of the same number of students meaning the intakes’ filled the available spaces to the last student. It is impossible to provide the given gender distribution but each institutions promotes a co-educational learning environment.
