Techno Engineering College, Banipur (TECB) is established in the year 2008. TECB is one of the popular engineering colleges in Habra, West Bengal. The institute has a campus spread over 10 acres and is AICTE approved. With 506 students already enroled and 47 teachers, TECB offers good students-to-teacher ratio and nine B. Tech programmes.

It is a boy-dominated college with a ratio of 6:1, having 535 males and 93 females. They have male and female hostels separately and have both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned rooms. Campus is protected by CCTV 24/7 with an anti-ragging cell. Modern research labs, a library containing more than 16,000 e-books and 4,000 journals, etc. are the facilities available in college.

Here, TECB offers full-time B.Tech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. In total, 270 seats are offered here; however, the highest no. of seats is for Computer Science and Engineering with 120 seats. College is focusing on providing education equivalent to the requirements of the industry needs.                                                                

Admissions are entrance examination based, and I'm a student at Techno Engineering College, Banipur (TECB). For the under graduation courses like B.Tech, the entrance examinations are Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main or the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE), which happens in the early half of the calendar year; ordinarily, WBJEE occurs during April or May. For post-graduation courses, TECB follows scores of West Bengal Post Graduate Entrance Test (WB PGET). The college is very diverse, with students coming in from outside the state being at 11%. About 30% of its undergraduates take some form of financial aid. TECB graduates go on to work at companies such as TCS, CTS, IBM, Genpact, Wipro, Deloitte, and Infosys, among others.
