Techno Engineering College, Banipur (TECB), started in 2008, is a popular engineering college in Habra, West Bengal. It has a 10-acre campus and is approved by AICTE. With 506 students enrolled and 47 teachers, TECB offers a good student-teacher ratio and 6 B.Tech programs. 

The student body includes 535 males and 93 females, giving a 6:1 gender ratio. The college has separate hostels for both the genders, with both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned rooms. The campus is secure with 24/7 CCTV and an anti-ragging cell. Facilities include modern research labs, a library with over 16,000 e-books and 4,000 journals, and various campus amenities. 

TECB offers full-time B.Tech programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. There are 270 seats in total, with Computer Science and Engineering having the most seats (120). The college aims to provide education that matches industry needs.  

At Techno Engineering College, Banipur (TECB), admissions are based on entrance exams. For B.Tech programs, you need scores from either the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main or the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE), usually held in the first half of the year, with WBJEE typically in April or May. 

For postgraduate courses, TECB considers scores from the West Bengal Post Graduate Entrance Test (WB PGET). The college is inclusive, with 11% of students coming from outside the state, which helps create a diverse environment. About 30% of undergraduates receive some financial support. Many TECB alumni work at top companies like TCS, CTS, IBM, Genpact, Wipro, Deloitte, and Infosys, showing that the college prepares students well for their careers.
