Tengakhat College, Dibrugarh, was established in the year 1967. This is an affiliated college of Assam under Dibrugarh University. Situated about 30 km east of Dibrugarh town, this institution has been serving the educational needs of the region for over five decades. The college is affiliated with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which goes to speak volumes about the quality of education given at this institute. Tengakhat College has 7.38 acres and provides different undergraduate programmes for 632 students. The teachers are very helpful and concerned with the students; they have 16 faculty members and a total of 13 courses and 4 degree programmes.

The college offers 13 full-time courses, including the traditional Bachelor of Arts (BA) programmes with majors in Assamese, Education, Economics, Sociology, Political Science, History, English, and Hindi respectively. The college provides a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) for students inclined to learn this discipline. Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc) in Office Automation and E-Services, Automobiles Maintenance and Repair, and Tourism Management are also pursued at this college.
