Thakur Institute of Management Studies, Career Development, and Research (TIMSCDR) was established in the year 2001 and is one of the landmark colleges based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The college, as the affiliated mentioned university college, has a campus of 1.86 acres and has approval from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institute also offers a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme, with a student enrolment of 349 altogether. The postgraduate programme currently being offered is the Master of Computer Applications (MCA). This is a full-time course spanning two years and has an approved intake of 180 seats. The MCA course at TIMSCDR is a college that gives advanced knowledge of computer applications and prepares applicants for altered environments in the fast-changing arena of information technology.

Admission is done through the State CET Cell _ Admission Regulating Authority (ARA), State of Maharashtra and Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State. The eligible contenders need to appear for the Maharashtra MCA Common Entrance Test (MAH MCA CET), the principal path for getting admission. The institute carries a proper procedure for admission. Most of the time, it comes into sync with the calendar of the higher studies of the state.
