In 1881, Calcutta Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata was established. The college is affiliated to Central Council of Homeopathy, CCH, and imparts varied range of specialized courses in Homeopathic medicine. This 1-acre campus accommodates an enrolment of 163 students and a faculty of 25, showing the dedication towards the homeopathic education field by offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses to aspiring homeopaths at different levels of their academic journey.

The Calcutta Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital feels proud about providing a comprehensive set of facilities to enhance the learning environment of students. This range runs from the flagship institutional program, the Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery, which is a six-year full-time course. The institution offers, at the postgraduate level, three MD programmes: MD Practice of Medicine, MD Materia Medica, and MD Homoeopathic Philosophy. Each of these courses will run for three years and will be full-time. 

This college offers admission on the basis of selecting the most promising candidates for admission in The Calcutta Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital. The admissions to the Postgraduate programmes in MD Practice of Medicine, MD Materia Medica, and MD Homoeopathic Philosophy shall be based on the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test. This system at the national level will ensure absorption of only those candidates with better aptitude and knowledge in homeopathic studies for these courses.
