TMS Institute of Professional Studies, Sheopur, started in 2005 is affiliated college located in Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh. This is a teacher education institute affiliated to the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). TMS Institute has a total of 382 students and 32 faculty members which means that it provides a planned learning atmosphere. The institute provides two full-time courses: A four year integrated BA and B.Ed programme and a two and half year D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) programme each of 100 intake capacity. Located close to New Anaj Mandi Link Road, the institute’s location is relatively strategic to help students and its staff.

The specialization of TMS Institute of Professional Studies is concentrated with three course offerings. The four year integrated BA and B.Ed programme offers the students a bachelor’s degree in arts along with a bachelor’s degree in education to make the students eligible to teach at the secondary level. The D.El.Ed course as a two-year course prepares the students for teaching at the elementary level with required skills and knowledge. There are two programmes, each being full time with the each course offering one hundred seats, hence the total student capacity for the two programmes is two hundred. This specialise approach is also beneficial in that enables the institute to focus a lot on teacher education and provide for increased demand for teachers in the region.
The admission process of TMS Institute of Professional Studies allows only merit and has no any kind of prejudice involved. In case of BA and B.Ed programme, the admission policy means the marks scored in the qualifying and or entrance exam prescribed by the state government and the university norms. The D.El.Ed programme admissions procedure also reflect this merit based model of merit as admission into any of the categories will depend on the marks obtained in the ‘Higher Secondary Examination’ conducted by the MP Board of Secondary Education, Bhopal.
