TUK Arts College, Thanjavur was started in 1974 is one of the affiliated college located in Tamil Nadu, India. Located on 20 acres of landscaping, the college has been educating students for nearly 50 years. TUK Arts College has two thousand and point nine seven seven seven hundred and fifty point five faculty students’ enrolment and this college has offered twenty two courses under twelve degrees names. As for disciplines the college offers a fair combination of classical and new programmes for students with different academic preferences and plans for the future.

TUK Arts College has several facilities to support learning and general development among the learners enrolled in the college. A library with a fine collection of over 34000 books in different fields, has 25 magazine and dailies both English and Tamil. The institution boasts of modern air conditioned computer labs manned with 120 branded LCD computers to enhance the students use of modern technology. For students who want to be scientists, fully equipped labs meet the practical aspects in every department. The college also runs a girl’s hostel whereby female students from different parish or district can have a comfortable place to stay. Some of the facilities are; a canteen, an auditorium for holding functions, seminars, games and sports facilities to enhance on extra curricula activities such as exercising among students.

TUK Arts College has provided a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate programmes and research opportunities in total 22 programmes. These include Arts, Science, Commerce, and Computer Application streams for which the college offers its courses. At the undergraduate level Students can study B.A Tamil Literature & English, B.Sc in Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology & Biotechnology, B.Com, BBA & BCA. Under post graduate courses the college offers MA in Tamil/ English, M Sc in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Chemistry, M.Com, and MCA. The institution also conducts research through M.Phil and Ph.D programmes in Tamil, which comes in full time option as well as part time. Further, a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications that takes one year is provided for candidates who wish to acquire more computer knowledge in their carrers.
