One of the major teacher-training institutions in West Bengal, India, is Udyog College of Education, Bankura. This co-educational college was founded in 2009 and is situated in the village Deshbandh for the training of future teachers. The institute, within a compact campus of 0.9921 acres, is an affiliated college under the National Council for Teacher Education. With a total student intake of 400 and a faculty strength of 31, Udyog College of Education offers a focused learning environment for aspiring teachers.

The admission process into the Udyog College of Education is merit-based and in accordance with policies framed by the state government and affiliated university. For the B.Ed. course, admissions will be based on the marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or based on the performance secured in an entrance examination. Admission into the D.El. Ed course shall be on a merit basis, in accordance with the performance of the candidate in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test.
