Uma Institute of Nursing Sciences, Sangli was started in the year 2017 is one of the premier nursing college situated in Maharashtra state of India. Being a co-educational institute, this college is located at Bijapur Road in Jath Taluka, Sangli District adjacent to Hotel Vrundhavan this institute has committed to producing professional health care qualified workers. Recognized by INC, Uma Institute functions as a affiliate college for providing various courses in nursing. The campus is a 4 acre setting which enables offer adequate learning environment and practical attachment. 

Uma Institute of Nursing Sciences has a number of functional and technological amenities to enhance delivery of education. It is equipped with well-furnished laboratories comprising of standard council of different instruments. It also has the collection of brand new reference books and journals, placed in the well ventilated library. Needed accommodation is offered in separate hostel for boys and girls having a 24 hours supply of water, electricity and each room fitted with bathroom. Uma Institute of Nursing Sciences presently provides only four nursing courses and these are full time nursing courses for different level of nursing. The institute has the following courses in the realm of the academic curriculum: The B.Sc Nursing four years course, GNM courses taking three years, and ANM two years course. Totally 97 students intake every year in all courses, 18 faculty members are available for teaching, so that the institute has sound infrastructure faculty student ratio. The current total enrolment has matched the intake capacity, which clearly shows that, the institute is the most desired choice among the potential nursing students.
