About UC College Aluva

Union Christian College, Aluva was founded in 1921 and is known for its academic excellence and research capabilities. Located in the Aluva municipality of Kerala, UC College is a private college approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It provides a variety of courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, Computer Application, and Management at different academic levels.

UC College is an affiliated college of the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. The courses include BA, B.Sc, B.Com, Bachelor of Sports Management, MA, M.Sc, MBA and MCA. The research courses are provided with many Ph.D in Psychology, Economics, Malayalam and Mathematics. The fees and eligibility criteria vary from course to course. The MBA and MCA courses are offered in self-finance mode. Applicants need to satisfy the eligibility criteria for admission to the courses. The UG and PG admissions are managed through the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam’s Centralised Admission Process (MGU CAP).

The college accepts CAT/CMAT/KMAT examination scores for MBA admissions. The management quota seats will be filled by the college management based on merit in the qualifying examination. For students completing their degrees from the institute, the college has a placement cell to provide them with employment opportunities. Some of the college’s recruiters are Deloitte, Byju, NeST Digitals, Orion Innovation and others.

The college provides various scholarships offered by the different departments of the college, and the Kerala and Central governments. Some of the UC College facilities provided are hostels, a library, laboratories, IT Infrastructure and many more.

College Infrastructure

The college is more than a century old and it hasn't had any affect in the running of the college. The infrastructure is good and the old architecture adds to the charm of the campus, moreover, every department is evenly spaced and we won't feel claustrophobic inside the campus. The department buildings and library is also well maintained.

College Infrastructure

The college is around 90 plus years old and the infrastructure is a mix of ancestry, tradition and modernity. The college has neat classrooms, enough spacious laboratories, sports centre and hostels for both men and women. The canteen serves hygienic food and most of the students have their lunch time meal in college canteen only. There isn't free WiFi or smart boards as of now but expecting them to be up soon in the course of development. The place is indeed an experience!

hello,

you are not eligible to study M.Sc psychology. For doing M.Sc psychology you need to have a bachelor's degree in psychology.

For B.Sc psychology you must be from science stream and must have an aggregate of 50% with biology as a mandatory subject.

courses you can opt after B.Sc zoology:

M.Sc zoology, M.Sc biotechnology, M.Sc botany, M.Sc bioinformatics, M.Sc microbiology, M.Sc bioinformatics, M.Sc medical technology, M.Sc biomedical technology, M.Sc medical biotechnology, M.Sc medical physiology, M.Sc biochemistry, M.Sc molecular biology.

The applications for the course is in the online mode. Candidates wish to take admission in BSc should -

Pass the 12th higher secondary education with minimum 50 % aggregate from a recognized college/ university. It is purely on merit based. The fees for first year is around 20,000/-
