UCET Guntur Admission Process

Universal College of Engineering and Technology (UCET), Guntur. The college is one of the esteemed institutions offering a wide range of technical education at diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels. It is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and accredited by NAAC with 'B++' grade. 

Universal College of Engineering and Technology is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru University Technological Kakinada. Apart from engineering one can find courses on architecture and management in the college. Normally Universal College of Engineering and Technology admissions process begins in May-June for the academic year commencing in August-September at UCET Guntur. For different programmes, applications are accepted through different state entrance examination processes. The undergraduate programmes require AP EAMCET scores, while postgraduate requirements include admissions tests such as AP PGECET, GATE, and APICET.

The minimum qualification required for all undergraduated programmes is passing the 10+2 examination from a recognised board with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as mandatory subjects. The applicants for postgraduate programmes must have obtained their bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognised university. Dates of procedures for Universal College of Engineering and Technology admission differ as per programme and entrance examination. AP EAMCET 2025 will or is scheduled to be conducted from May 19 to May 20, 2025, for Engineering streams and from May 19 to May 20, 2025, for Agriculture and Pharmacy streams, respectively. AP PGECET 2025 is scheduled from June 5 to June 7, 2025.

For MBA programmes:

  • Qualify the APICET examination.
  • Partake in the web counseling process for seat allotment.

For Diploma programmes:

  • Qualify AP POLYCET examination.
  • Carry out web counseling to sign the seat.
  • If selected, report to UCET Guntur for Universal College of Engineering and Technology admission.

Selection is primarily on the basis of merit in respective entrance exams and through web counseling thereafter. Seat allocation to students would depend on their merit rank, reservation policy, and availability of seats in the desired course.

Selection into the B.Tech programmes happens through a student's merit in the AP EAMCET. Allotment of seats through web counseling is an additional step at the institute's end. Universal College of Engineering and Technology admission for lateral entry for diploma holders is available where 20 percent of the sanctioned intake seats are sacrificed for the benefit of ECET-qualified students directly entering into the second year.

Universal College of Engineering and Technology offers courses in different disciplines at the diploma level such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering. The exams and the course are hard and tough and can be easily with the help of the the library. In most cases, benchers clear all subjects backlogs. The course is years with 8 semesters semester has 5 or 6 subjects and labs.

Though the number so the overall experience is good. Passing is not a big deal. However, you must secure 20 out of 100in end term exam. Teachers are excellent but they focus more on your higher studies and promote.
