University Polytechnic, Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) was set up in 2011 at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and is the largest technical university in the state. Approved by AICTE, this constituent college, occupies an extensive area of 11.84 acres of land, and was established in the year 1980. RGPV Polytechnic has four Diploma courses in its profile with direct intake capacity of 389 students and has faculty strength of 7. Engineering institute established specialised courses in engineering disciplines pivotal to learning for the requisite technicians for different sectors.

Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya has new age infrastructure that takes pride of place at the RGPV University Polytechnic include the following. This institute has well-endowed laboratories available for practical experience in every major branch of engineering education. An efficient and extensive library supports students; it comprises all the requisite technical literature and other related sources. It also has a modern Information Technology infrastructure to enable the students to understand modern technology systems. It also offers facilities in sports, games and a gym to ensure students are able to also enjoy physical health in addition to the mental health they enjoy while studying. A seminar, event, and cultural activities are conducted in an auditorium on campus, which makes the campus life more active.

RGPV Polytechnic has only four full time diploma courses offered by this polytechnic with total duration of the course being three years. These programmes’ objectives are to equip learners with adequate knowledge in their specialisation of engineering- Diploma in Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engioneering etc. The institute has an overall approved student’s capacity of 240 students and every course has its capacity 60 students. CON technically educated, work-experience oriented Technicians-Graduates, although exact data of how many graduates are produced annually is not available but still the institutes courses and curriculum are designing to produce job-ready Technicians.
