Upendra Pai Memorial College, Udupi: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

UPMC as we know is a well established First Grade College founded in the year 1997 at Kunjebettu, Udupi District of Karnataka state. This affiliated college is located on a small area of 2.5 acres of land and has been imparting education to young minds for more than two decades. Today, the university attractive programs turned to have more than 443 students with 14 faculties’ members. The college presently provides two undergraduate programs for commerce and management education. Nonetheless, through Tiny campuses, UPMC has carved for itself a niche market in an already an education market saturated with players who are offering quality education to prospective professionals in the region.

Currently, this college boasts of the availability of several learning amenities to support the students’ learning. Among the resources available through UPMC’s academic affiliation is its library which boasts of 11,879 books. These collections also comprise not only the textbooks and references for commerce, management, and computer science published within the last five years, but also a range of general reader interest books in English, Kannada, Hindi, Konkani, and Sanskrit. Besides text books and subjects, the library stocks varied reading areas, literature and fiction, personalities and books, to enable the students embrace reading apart from school imposed demographics. The college also has well equipped modern information technology facilities to prepare students on the relevant technologies in their fields of specialisation.

UPMC currently offers two full-time undergraduate courses: BBA and B.Com courses offered Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) courses offered They are both three year programs where graduate acquire adequate knowledge to enable them practice in the respective fields. These two disciplines are essentials in the college; the college aims at preparing students for the business and commerce fields. Unfortunately, there are no current intake numbers for specific subjects yet the total student intake across all programs is 443, students are able to enjoy small group teaching and learning whilst benefitting from academic mentorship.

The management of the admission process at Upendra Pai Memorial College ensures that process is a simple one for any aspiring student. The physical facilities and infrastructures include modern classroom blocks, administration block, hostels and dining hall, sporting fields, gymnasium and an open air amphitheatre for extra curicular activities and functions. It has a health centre for the students such as first aid that makes sure that students at UPMC are in good health.
