Uttarayan College of Education, Cooch Behar: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Located at Cooch Behar in West Bengal, the Uttarayan College of Education is relatively new in this discipline, with its journey starting in 2016. This co-educational college has a compact campus of 0.91 acres to deliver quality teacher education. This is an affiliated college, hence it has its parent university, but it also maintains its identity. The college has been recognised by the NCTE, or National Council of Teacher Education, and its programs are, therefore, bench marked to national standards in the institution's teacher preparation.

Within the campus of Uttarayan College of Education, a galaxy of infrastructural facilities has been provided to enrich the learning experiences of the students. A well-stocked library is made available as a knowledge hub for extended study and research activities. Sports facilities are available for the sports-inclined to balance their academic and recreational college lives. There is a state-of-the-art IT infrastructure to enable the student body to actively take part in today's digital educational world. Uttarayan College of Education offers two full-time courses; both are two-year programs: D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) and B.Ed.

The Uttarayan College of Education admission procedure is designed to be merit-based and transparent. In respect of the D.El.Ed and B.Ed courses, admissions are decided based on the marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination performance. The college abides by the policy in this regard laid down by the state government of West Bengal or the affiliated university.
