The Vaishali Institute of Business and Rural Management, Muzaffarpur was started in 1983. VIBRM Muzaffarpur offers admission to undergraduate courses for 3 years which includes  BBA and BCA programmes. The college also offers postgraduate courses in the programme MBA and MCA. Students can pursue the courses in a full-time mode. The college offers a 2 years MBA programme with a seat intake of 77. 

VIBRM Muzaffarpur is affiliated with the Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur and approved by the All India Commission of Technical Education (AICTE). Students should meet the eligibility criteria to seek admission to courses offered by the college. The institute offers admission to the programmes based on the merit of the qualifying examination or  CAT/MAT/CMAT entrance examination.
