Valia Koonambaikulathamma College of Engineering and Technology (VKCET) is one of the most reputed engineering institution located in  Trivandrum, Kerala state was founded in the year of 2009. This college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and is an APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University affiliated institution which provides B.Tech in different branches of engineering. Sitting on a campus of 10.09 acres, VKCET was given the total student intake of 796 and the faculty strength of 58. This has been confirmed with the college offering quality education with 60% male students and 40% female students.

The college has six full time B.Tech programmes which are of four years duration each. These are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering with cybersecurity branch. All the programs presented have an approved cohort size of sixty students to a total of three hundred and sixty for all courses offered. These diverse programmes are designed to meet everyone’s interests and goals as far as engineering is concerned.

Most of the students seeking admission in VKCET’s B.Tech programs join through the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) entrance examination scores. For the purpose of rewarding and encouraging guest performers and ranking students, VKCET also established the following scholarships. For overall first rank, students obtaining full A+ in Plus 2 examinations will be given full fee waiver scheme will be provided and half fees waiver for students excelling in state, CBSE, and ICSE level examination.
