Venkateshwara Institute of Management, Sangli came into existence in the year 2009. This Sangli-based affiliated college has definitely carved a niche in the realm of management education in Maharashtra. AICTE has approved this college and it is spread over a compact 1-acre campus. Currently, the student enrolment is 88, whereas the teaching faculty is 6 in number. VIM has a focused curriculum with one degree program, which is specialised in management studies. The basic philosophy is related to the quality over quantity in education.

Different facilities are available in the campus to enrich the learning experience of the students. It has a well-organised library that works as a knowledge hub. It keeps on updating books and journals regularly to aid academic pursuits. The state-of-the-art computer lab in VIM, with access to the internet day and night, would keep the students updated with changing digital developments. 

At the core of the VIM academics is the flagship MBA program. This full-time, two-year course has an approved intake of 60 students, providing an intimate learning environment that allows for close interaction between faculty and students. This program is meant to equip aspirant managers with the skills and knowledge necessary to perform effectively in the ever dynamic world of business today.

The admission process at Venkateshwara Institute of Management follows the general guidelines framed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and other national-level management entrance exams. The Institute offers prospective students entry based on their performance in various recognised examinations, including CAT, MAH MBA CET, GMAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, and ATMA. This wide variety of accepted exams thus provides multiple ways through which aspiring management students can enter VIM.
