About Vidyavardhaka Polytechnic, Mysore

Vidyavardhaka Polytechnic is one of the pioneering technical institution situated in the city of Mysore and was established in the year 2005 in the state of Karnataka. This affiliated college offering diploma programmes in engineering disciplines has got the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Located on a limited piece of land of 2.2 acres, this polytechnic was able to accommodate 541 students and 28 experienced faculties. As a college with a focus on technical education, the Vidyavardhaka Polytechnic is offering four diploma programmes in order to fulfill the expectations of young engineers in the region.

Vidyavardhaka Polytechnic boasts of having a broad list of facilities to supplement the learning process of the students. There are two hostels for boys and girls respectively so that out station students may feel homely and comfortable. They provide each hostel with gymnasium and reading room for general body exercise and personal readings respectively. The college boasts of a library with seating capacity of more than three hundred students for reading and references, on a wide range of books including technical and general knowledge to improve students’ all round personality and equip them with adequate knowledge as they prepare for various examinations. 

Sports enthusiasts will have been blessed as there will be provisions for cricket, footbal facilities, volley ball court, hockey, badminton and many more, along with gymnasium and indoor games. It also has well equipped modern Information Technology facilities, laboratory for practical studies, and an Auditorium for conferences and programmes. A cafeteria, at the centre of the campus, takes care of the feeding culture of the students, and members of staff while other necessary facilities such as ATM, health centre and car parking facilities meet the general needs of everybody.

Vidyavardhaka Polytechnic conducts the following four full time diploma courses that span for a period of three academic years. These programmes offered are available in different engineering disciplines, thereby equipping the students with the needed basis for the fields of engineering. The sanctioned strength of the institute is 300 seats for all courses, which symbolise that the institute maintains quality education with optimal strength.
