Vidyavati Mukand Lal Girls College, Ghaziabad, was established in the year 1961 as a premier institution for the emancipation of women through quality education. It is an affiliated college, located at Dayanand Nagar, Ghaziabad, on a spacious 4.876-acre campus. The college has a total student enrolment of 2,377 and a faculty strength of 37. 

Vidyavati Mukand Lal Girls College possess modern facilities that are provided to further the learning experience of the students. The library is well equipped with a stock of 69,023 books, out of which 7,982 volumes belong to the Department of Teacher Education. There is also a computerised network of library services in the form of a user-friendly powerful Internet-based library, named DELNET, to offer students access to a number of e-journals and reading material. The commitment of the college toward technology is assessed from the centralised computer center that's comprised of 22 computers with internet access. 

Vidyavati Mukand Lal Girls College is offering a wide variety of courses to aid different academic interests. The current offerings at MLNC are of 19 courses, both at full time undergraduate and postgraduate programs, doctoral studies. The courses in this college belong to the traditional disciplines of Arts and Commerce, while some other professional disciplines include B.Ed, BCA, and M.Ed. 

Vidyavati Mukand Lal Girls College admits students based on merit, by the guidelines of Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. In most of its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, the college selects students purely on the basis of academic merit in the qualifying exams. Even so, in specialised programs like B.Ed and M.Ed, admissions are undertaken through an entrance test of the applicants. Candidates seeking admission to the B.Ed. program will have to clear the UP B.Ed. Joint Entrance Test, following which state counseling will be done. In order to get admission to M.Ed., a candidate is required to appear in the M.Ed Entrance Test conducted by CCS University, Meerut.
