Vignesh Polytechnic College was started in 1995 and it is an affiliated college situated in Manalurpet, Tamil Nadu. This AICTE approved polytechnic diploma college is functioning in a vast area of 12 acres of land and it provides specialisation in various diploma courses in the stream of engineering. Today it offers enrolment to 553 students and has a faculty of 38 members of staff to nurture the engineering students. Vignesh Polytechnic College provides an options of five full time diploma courses the include Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & communication and Computer engineering.
Vignesh Polytechnic College has different facilities which are aimed at improving the educational process of the students. The campus consist of hostels for boys and girls, the hostels offer satisfactory accommodation with strict regimentation for studying and playing. A large library occupying more than 200 square meters contains over 15500 volumes of books, reference books 2500 plus e-journals and periodicals. This shows the institution’s dedication to developing a student in every aspect, and the possibility to attain fitness besides having a physical classroom. In order to meet the challenges arising from it, the college has developed and had a centralised computer centre that has internet connection and printer facilities. Every department in the school is fitted with computers and all important software to assure students’ get to use modern equipment and software for their disciplines.
Vignesh Polytechnic College has five diploma courses it offers and all the courses are for full time. The approved capacity for the college is 285 students in all the courses offered in the college. The diploma courses take a duration of 3 years each and equip the learners with relevant theoretical show more and hands-on skills in their respective areas of specialisation.
