Vinayaka Missions Medical College and Hospital was started in 1996 and is a renowned medical facility situated in Karaikal, Pondicherry. This constituent college is recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and is spread over 70 acres of land. In all, VMMCH is a wide provider of medical programmes which include 3 degree and 16 courses where it enrols about 702 students. The institute has well-experienced 150 faculty members for all classes to deliver quality education and for guidance. VMMCH has remained selective and the only way students can be admitted into the college is through national entry tests. In regard to the MBBS programme, the candidates have to appear and qualify the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). For admission into MD and MS courses, the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Postgraduate medical courses is conducted. The college does not compromise with the quality of its students and has set stringent criteria to select the learners. Admission at VMMCH is according to a calendar formulated by statutory authorities where NEET-UG is usually conducted in May whereas NEET-PG in January.
