Affiliated college, Visakha Institute of Professional Studies was set up in 1992 at Visakhapatnam city of Andhra Pradesh. This institute, having the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), has been producing tomorrow’s Philosopher Managers for over thirty years. Located in the beautiful city which is in the coastal region, the institute has provided management education with an MBA program. VIPS is conducting the B.B.A course for the total strength of 120 students with the faculty members of 9 in this institution which is ideal for the proper focus on each individual’s learning and their groomed professional career. They should understand that the institute has many facilities that can improve students’ experience and encourage academia. 

The modern, fully equipped library is designed to become the students’ source of further information. Well-equipped computer laboratories with modern facilities in the subject as well numerous Advanced Television Laboratories provide ample impetus to the students to equip them with plenty of practical knowledge being acute in today’s world. In order to facilitate students’ overall growth, VIPS has sports complex and an open stage for cultural and academic functions. The campus also contains a cafeteria, a health center, and has arrangements of transport to help the students on instance needs. Established in 1988, VIPS’s academic portfolio is anchored by the MBA programme. 

This is a two-year full-time course which has an approved number of sixty students intake which the institute feels can offer quality education due to the small cohort size. The design of the program is meant to give the students a rich knowledge in the course of business management that will enable them to fit in the job environments among competing students. The institute is presently offering only MBA today and this specialization enables the institute to offer some of the several aspects of management studies.

The admission process practiced at VIPS is mainly affiliated to the AP Integrated Common Entrance Test commonly referred to as APICET. The eligibility criteria expected of the prospective students are: Recognition of the Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University; minimum aggregate mark of 50% (45% for SC/ST/BC candidates). The institute also provides an admission through management quota and the candidates who wants to enroll themselves in the course can directly meet the Principal. This leaves VIPS with a mechanism that guarantees the institution is equipped with a competent intake of students. Though the course wise scholarships are not available, the fee structure of the institute is relatively moderate for MBA programme totaling ₹54,000 enabling many a management scholar to obtain quality education. VIPS, located in Visakhapatnam one of the biggest port city and industrial area gives exposure to the students in the real world and placements. The unconventional manner of structuring the institute with an exclusive, organized MBA program also makes its students highly employable because of its contextual, applied methodology.
