Viva Institute of Pharmacy, Virar was established in 2010 and is a college affiliated with the Shirgaon region in Maharashtra. The institution is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and imparts quality and specialized education in pharmaceutical sciences. Spread over a compact area of 0.75 acres, this institute presently has a total student enrolment of 243 with a faculty strength of 28. Viva Institute of Pharmacy offers two different pharmaceutical degree courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels to nurture professionals in the pharmaceutical industry.

These are backed by various facilities that help in enhancing the learning process and the overall development of students. The institute has a well-stocked library that functions as a knowledge center and is essential for academic purposes. The departmental laboratories are involved in practical learning, which is of paramount interest for the students to get practical exposure—an essential requirement of pharmacy education. Viva Institute of Pharmacy runs two full-time different courses: 4 years Bachelor of Pharmacy in B. Pharma and 2 years of Master of Pharmacy in M. Pharma in Pharmacology. The sanctioned intakes for the B. Pharma and M. Pharma Pharmacology programs are 100 and 15, respectively. The programs are comprehensively designed to prepare students in Pharmaceutical Sciences for their successful working in various cadres in the Pharmacy sector. 

The admission procedure to Viva Institute of Pharmacy is primarily based on the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, specifically in case of the B.Pharma course. This is a state-level examination that might prove very vital for entrance, seeking admission in the institute of aspiring students. This institute may have a different procedure for M.Pharma Pharmacology.
